These stainless steel Hannya Masks were sourced from the Buddhist temple Sen so Ji, at my favourite markets in Asakasu Japan.
👺The Hannya mask represents a jealous female demon in Japanese theater. Despite its fearsome appearance, it is considered a protective talisman that wards off evil and embodies wisdom gained through suffering
These striking ear weights feature a pair of stainless steel Hannya masks, measuring just on 8cms from tip to tip, and weighing 34 grams each.
This pair have been made with 2 gauge (6mm) surgical steel full curl hooks, to be worn in stretched lobes.
