✨🌙 Lunula pendants were common in ancient Slavic and Nordic cultures, taking the shape of a crescent moon, symbolically associated with the moon and femininity. It was believed that these pendants offered protection against evil forces, demons, and witchcraft. The word "lunula" originates from the Slavic word for moon - luna.
Featuring a pair of gorgeous antique silver Pictish moon amulets, these beautiful earrings measure just on 6cms from tip to tip, and weigh approx 10 grams each.
These earrings have been made with stainless steel french hooks, suitable for pierced ears.

*I recommend shephard hooks be worn through silicone earlets in stretched lobes, they sit snug and look great, while chain and clasps are suitable to be worn through metal tunnels or silicone earlets.
*If you are purchasing chain and lobster clasps, please note that if your tunnels or earlets have 'fat walls' and a much smaller inner diametre, these may not fit. If you are unsure if these will work with your tunnels or earlets, please get in touch before you purchase.
