Chinese foo dog earrings-Lantian jade Pi Xiu earrings

These gorgeous earrings are made from carved Lantian jade featuring the beautiful mythological lion dog, the Pi Xiu.

The Pixiu is a Chinese mythical creature that resembles a winged lion symbolizing earth and sea.
They are said to possess mystical powers capable of drawing in wealth from all directions, and are especially helpful for those who are going through a bad year.

I picked these pendants up in one of my holidays to the amazing Yokohama in Japan, otherwise known as Chinatown, so this is a truly unique pair of earrings.

These earrings are nice and dangly measuring 6.5cms from tip to tip, and they do have a little bit of weight to them at approx 24 grams a piece.
This pair has been made with stainless steel french hooks, suitable for pierced ears.

*I recommend shephard hooks be worn through silicone earlets in stretched lobes, they sit snug and look great, while chain and clasps are suitable to be worn through metal tunnels or silicone earlets.
*If you are purchasing chain and lobster clasps, or chain and magnetic clasps, please note that if your tunnels or earlets have 'fat walls' and a much smaller inner diametre, these may not fit. If you are unsure if these will work with your tunnels or earlets, please get in touch before you purchase.
*I do not recommend any of my pieces for stretched lobes be worn through naked lobes if you have sensitive ears.
